What a distance MBA really costs
Programme pricing sorts itself into three bands, and the difference between them is not what most people assume.
Under ₹1 lakh
Autonomous institutes, open universities and state universities. IICT and IIPM sit here at ₹32,350. Same subject scope, same self-paced delivery, same assessment pattern as the tier above.
₹1–2 lakh
Private university online programmes. The premium buys delivery — platform, live sessions, support — not a different curriculum.
Above ₹2 lakh
Brand. The syllabus is not two or three times better; the name and the network are what cost more. A rational purchase if a specific name opens a specific door.

- Examination fee per semester, and re-attempt fees
- Study material, if billed separately
- Project, viva and convocation
- Late-payment penalties
