What you study
BLIS trains you to run a library and its information services: cataloguing and classification, reference work, library management and the software modern libraries run on.
The usual mistake is timing. BLIS is not a first degree — it comes after graduation — so anyone still in class 12 or midway through a degree needs to finish that first.
How it runs by distance
In distance mode you work through the programme's study material in your own time and submit assignments, and the term-end examinations are the university's. Admission and study support are facilitated by IICT and IIPM, Lucknow.
