What you study
The MLIS builds on BLIS with library automation, digital libraries, information retrieval, knowledge organisation and research methods.
It is the second rung of a two-step ladder: BLIS then MLIS, two years in all after graduation. Plan them as one route if a librarian's post is the goal.
How it runs by distance
In distance mode you work through the programme's study material in your own time and submit assignments, and the term-end examinations are the university's. Admission and study support are facilitated by IICT and IIPM, Lucknow. Recognition, briefly
